Mardi Gras Party 2012

On February 21, 2012, we had Mardi Party at Emily and Greg's house!  Of course this Fat Tuesday tradition always includes good food (shrimp and sausage jambalaya, cornbread, and king cake) and good drinks (hurricanes!), but we also had good times!  Emily had the main meal ready when Ashley arrived from work.  And Ashley brought a beautiful king cake for us to enjoy!
With our decor about us (including on the dog!), we enjoyed a voodoo movie, "The Serpent and the Rainbow".  Although it is tough to have a real party on a weeknight, we did our best to enjoy all that Bourbon Street offers amongst friends.

Oh, and that movie scared us to pieces!! HAHAHA!  Best twin night ever!

Superbowl Weekend 2012

Superbowl Weekend 2012 was filled with events to attend, both joyous and somber.

First was the unfortunate loss of Andrew Duncan.
His funeral was held in Greensburg the Saturday of Superbowl Weekend.
This was very difficult, but it was good to say our goodbyes.

Andrew W. Duncan

Jimmy Moore officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to Hospice.

Then we were off to Lindsay William's Bat Mitzvah at Mill Top in Noblesville!
The event was totally decked out and amazing!
Great music, open bar, and plenty of friends to celebrate!

Sunday was the big game in Indianapolis!
This is the first time Indianapolis has hosted the Superbowl and it was amazing!

The whole of downtown was decked out for the occasion!
There was plenty to do and see all week including zip lining!

The sights downtown were great, but having everyone over to Emily & Greg's was a ball!

Everyone chipped in to make these mini pigs in a blanket!
Such a fun project and really delicious!

The spread was fit for a much larger group!

Michelle brought these special truffles!
What a sweet way to celebrate football (and root for anyone but the Patriots)!

We spent the whole weekend together with family and friends.
The best part is always having one another to depend on-through it all!

Great twin weekend!
