Two Gentleman of Verona

To begin this Italian evening of food and theatre, we found ourselves at Buca!
One of our old favorites always pairs well with some wine and first class stage productions!

After a classic Italian feast, we headed to the Indiana Repertory Theatre for a showing of Two Gentleman of Verona.  Our front row balcony seats gave us a bird's eye view of all Shakespeare's play complete with loves lost and found, cross dressing, and happy endings!

We also got validation that sometimes a woman's intuition is all she really needs!

"I have no other but a woman's reason:
I think him so, because I think him so."

Another great twin night!

Irishfest 2014

Only 6 months to St. Patrick's Day!
The Indy Irishfest always falls at the half way point between St. Patrick's Days to give you that extra boost of Irish to get you through!

This year, we decided to visit on the pre-festival pub night preview concert (Thursday).
The shopping and demos were not ready yet, but the tickets were only $5 and there was a lot of great stuff we have never seen before!

The stage featured "Celtic Rock Night" with three great bands!

The highlight, however, would have to be the craft beer tasting tent!
For $10, you received an Irish Fest pint glass and 2 hours of UNLIMITED craft beer tasting!
Also, there was a lot of swag being given out by the Guinness rep!

To top it off, we discovered Guinness Blonde, a brand new Guinness product that tastes AMAZING!
Food trucks were serving up all types of fare and the Brozinni breadsticks were buttery, garlicky pieces of heaven!

All in all, it was a great night to visit the IrishFest and try lots of beer!
Good times on this twin night!  Slainte!

Ashley's Bachelorette Party on the Lake

She is dropping anchor and tying the knot, so we wanted to set sail before the veil!
Ashley had a grand bachelorette party at the lake!

We gathered Friday night for some Marshall-ritas and appetizers before heading out on a boat ride!

Ashley was all decked out in her nautical dress, sash and veil!  So cute!

The S.S. Bachelorette set sail with Captain Jill at the helm!
Plenty of music, wine and sunshine made for a great trip around the lake!

When we got back to the lake house, the dining area had been set!
Our chef and waitstaff for the evening was a talented trio of Schwindler men!
A delicious salmon dinner helped us energize for the night of partying!

Many more glasses of white wine later, Ashley took time to thank each attendant and tell a bit about what their relationship meant to her!
Such a kind person!  Then we played some dirty charades and had some heart-to-hearts!
The rest of the evening can fade quietly into bachelorette lore, but it was an amazing night of memories!

The next morning, a delicious spread of homemade blueberry coffee cake, egg casserole, fruit and coffee perked everyone back up.
(Along with their cleverly devised hangover kits!)
The table was set for an elegant brunch among close friends!

A mimosa bar was spread with sugar rimmed glasses and pineapple heart garnishes!

After another sunny boat ride, the revelers dispersed to recover and rest!
Through all the fun and memories, Ashley learned that in high tide or low tide, she has many friends who will always be by her side!

Great twin night!

State Fair 2014

The Indiana State Fair is a great traditional spot for a twin night!
This year, we decided to bring the guys along!
This was the first year in fair history that beer and wine could be served at the fair!
Many local breweries and wineries participated in the Indiana Beer and Wine Exhibition, and that is where we started our night!

The exhibition hall was decked out in information about brewing and vinification!
You could purchase a set number of tokens and redeem them for samples.
After you found your favorites, a bar at the end was selling full glasses in a state of the art cup with souvenir magnet (invented right here in Indiana)!

After quenching our thirst, we headed to the midway!
It was a beautiful evening for people watching, a bit crowded, but enjoyable!

We convinced the guys to go on the gondola Ferris wheel to get a better look at the entire fair grounds!
This is one of our favorite things to do at the fair, and we always make sure it is the one ride we do not miss!

Once we had looked at everything from a bird's eye view, we stopped in for some elephant ears for Gran!
Well, actually on $2 Tuesdays, they are a smaller version called "mouse ears", but they are perfect for the end of the night!

It was so great to have the guys join us for the fair this year!
We all had a great time exploring, people watching, and eating our way through the midway!

Fair-tastic twin night!

Jack's Baptism!

Baby Jack is about two and a half months old and it is time for his baptism!
We all came together at The Cathedral of St. Mary for this monumental occasion!

After the ceremony, we all headed to a quaint spot for lunch and cake!

Sweet baby Jack was perfect all day!
We pray for him to have many blessings in his life and to always remember to count those blessings!

Great twin day!

Ashley's Wedding Shower

Ashley's Bridal Shower was a stunningly elegant winery event!

We rented out a large room at Stone Creek Dining Company in Greenwood.
The high-ceiling room with its bay windows gave a grand impression!
Natalie had specialty cupcakes made and used fabric and other components to create a gorgeous cake area!

Emily created a centerpiece for the main table using cabbage, white roses, purple stock and grapevines/leaves in a wooden wine crate.

She also etched a shadowbox to hold wine corks collected at Ashley's wedding events!

A customized game of "He Said, She Said" tested the guests knowledge of the bride and groom!

Between the cupcakes and handmade chocolate favors, there were plenty of sweetness to go around!

The centerpieces were made of hand arranged bouquets of white roses, purple stock and grape leaves/tendrils.
Each table also had a bottle of wine with a customized label, a candle surrounded in corks, and accent grapes.

The prex fixe menu had options to please everyone and wine was of course complimentary!

The large group of well-wishers fit comfortably in the grand room and the celtic "M", designed and handmade by Natalie, rounded out the party area!

The colors of the day were of course all shades of wine and grapes!
It was such a beautiful day to have a nice ladies' wine lunch and gifts!

Ashley received many special, sentimental, and practical gifts, but most of all, she had the chance to share in a special day designed just for her!

As wine only improves with age, so does love!
Great twin day!
