Hancock School Graduation 2014

The annual Hancock School Graduation ceremony was held at the Brandywine Church in Greenfield.
Ashley's Luminescence Scholarship lives on even as she has graduated and left Riverview!
Her idea of creating a program to give funding to students who were ineligible for aid at the Hancock School is only growing!

This year, Ashley expanded her backers and was able to give more money!
It is so noble that she is still giving back to the organization where she got her start!

Ashley was able to give the award and make a speech about what inspired her to start the scholarship and how it is funded.

It was a successful evening celebrating some amazing graduates!

Possibly the best part of the night was after the ceremony.
Just as we were getting ready to head back to Indianapolis, Ashley got a call offering her an adjunct professorship at IUPUI!!!

We jumped up and down in the parking lot, made several excited phone calls, and shed a few tears!
It goes to show that good will and perseverance pay off!
Not to mention letting go of the bad in your life to allow for the good!

Really incredible twin night!

Ashley's IUPUI Graduation!

Ashley got her Bachelor's Degree!
She persevered through all the challenges the years presented to EARN her diploma!

We celebrated a bit early with a family dinner at Hour Time in Lafayette.
Natalie made homemade cheesecake to mark the occasion!

On the big day, the Indiana Convention Center was abuzz with excitement!
Greg and Emily met up with Ross to make sure we could get good seats together!

Her name was right there in black and white!
So exciting!

The video monitor gave the best view as the graduates filed past, but it was tough to capture!

After the large ceremony, the schools broke out into separate rooms where the student received their actual diplomas!

Once all the pomp and circumstances were played, lots of hugs and smiles were shared!

Then the foursome headed to Granite City in downtown Indianapolis for some gifts and a celebratory meal/drinks!

Ashley was absolutely aglow with her accomplishment!

We were all beaming as well!
It certainly was a long, tough road, but one that she followed with grace and diligence!

And now she has a Bachelor's and can follow all her dreams!
Great twin day!

Natalie's John Deere Baby Shower!

Baby Gilbert's Baby Shower was a sophisticated John Deere luncheon!
The first sign that you had arrived at the Wea Rec Center was the welcoming wreath!

Once inside, guests were greeted with a guessing game!
When will baby Gilbert arrive?  Each guest could write their name on a pair of John Deere green feet!

Beyond the guessing game, the customized diaper cake invited guests to drop off diapers they had brought to enter into the raffle!

The country theme of mason jars and antique John Deere tractors was seen throughout the shower decorations!
The drink station consisted of three country beverage containers on a tiered tray, personalized with ribbon.
The individual pies from Zionsville's My Sugar Pie were also tied with handmade, "thank you" tags and coordinating ribbon.

The white table cloths were layered with burlap runners and finished off with handcrafted bouquets of yellow roses and white tulips!
Matching napkins and straws helped add color to the mason jar glasses and white dinner plates!

Ashley created this beautiful chalkboard art for the centerpiece of the gift area!
The themed bunting added a bit of branding to that area as well.

Emily made BABY frames to match the decor in the gift area and printed some tractor pics for the buffet.

The scene was set for a beautiful afternoon of homemade food and country style visiting!

The gift area was overflowing with amazing gifts!
Natalie's friends and family really "showered" her with love!

The yellow tablecloth and green chevron floor covering helped elevate the area to refined country!

Natalie took time to pose with each guest so we could add the pictures to her "Wishes for Baby" book!
As hosts, Ashley got us matching necklaces!  We couldn't be more excited to become aunts!

Grandma and mom also trekked all the way to the Wea Rec Center for this joyous occasion!

Each guest went home with a handmade tractor chocolate and a My Sugar Pie!
The kids and adults loved taking home sweets!

The classic games, color-coordinated and branded details, along with the homemade food made everyone feel that a simple country theme was just perfect!

The Wea Rec Center was truly transformed!
Although it was basically a 24 hour marathon to make it happen, all the subtle details made this shower feel like a gourmet affair!

Baby Gilbert is already so loved!  Cannot wait to meet him!
Great job and great twin day!
